A Broken Heart

No, really. My Mom's heart is broken. Heart Attack is what the tests show and now we are trying to see just how she will handle what comes next. She is doing better today, but we are still waiting for results from scans and bloodwork. I am certain of one thing...she will have to make some changes to the hectic pace she tries to keep!

She has her own blog, Pie In The Sky Studio, but since she doesn't quite get the whole "posting pictures" thing, she doesn't keep up with it as she should. Then again...she stays so busy, it's hard for her to find time to post! She's a very independent and self sufficient lady, attending art workshops and entering art shows as well as being very active in the local irish Club and one heck of a Crummy Rummy Card Player. Actually, her art was just on exhibition at the library for a month and she won a "People's Choice" award at a local art show last week. She's just discovered this passion within the last year and it's been quite a journey for her...

This is Mom's new puppy, Jake...she rescued him just a week ago and they were just getting to really get comfortable together when all of this happened. My sister Dawn, at Maebelle Park, is in charge of him...and since she's already got 4 dogs, what difference can this little peanut make? ;) How about them ears??

Anyway...I have not had the time to personally thank those of you that have stopped by...and I will..but I can't even begin to tell you how much that means to me **sniff**

I'll be back on track soon...if all goes well and I have extra time tomorrow (time?? WTF is extra time??) I hope to get some stuff together for Friday Flea Market!

Thanks for the kind words, the good thoughts and the sweet prayers...you guys are the best!!

Cassie, your Mom appears to be in very good fettle, I don't think she's going to let a little old heart attack get her down. I didn't...one triple bypass later (2003) and I'm still able to kick a little butt and take down a name and give Mac some sugar, lol...my prayers are with her...a good Cardiologist can be a girls best friend!!!
hugs

My Best to your Mom Cassie~ from her picture, I don't think she will be letting dust settle anywhere, heart attack or no! Hopefully with rest and follow thru on the Dr's orders, the little peanut man and she will be painting the town! I also wanted to stop by and let you know that I passed a "you make my day award " to you.. after 6 hours in the emergency room, I think your whole family could enjoy it!

I have been stopping in to check on your Mom (and you too sweetie). Your mom is one who I know will not let this keep her down!! They can and will help her get back to that active lifestyle. I have also worried about you dear Cassie because I know what stress it is to worry about the ones you love so much.

Please give your Mama a hug from me and tell her she is in many prayers!!

I send warm hugs to you too dear heart...tale care of yourself.

Love,
Sue
