Never Enough Time

I will start by apologizing, in advance, for the complete random-ness of this post! So much has been going on...

First, just let me say right up front...identity theft SUCKS!! Yes, my debit card number is floating around California and apparently having an absolute blast while there! Why wasn't I invited to this shopping spree...in freakin' Los Angeles, of all places? I've never been to California, would like to go to California and since I'm paying for the trip, it would just be good manners to invite me, don't ya think??? Now that we are aware of it, it takes 7 days to get the money back and 7-10 days for a new debit card. I know...wah, wah, wah, call the wah-mbulance...it's just so dang aggravating! I have my card, so my number has been skimmed from somewhere and as we all know, there is no way to trace that.
Let's see...oh yes, I did make another trip to see the Disney lights on Sunday and wanted to share this bit of info with you...

and...look what just came in the mail! Merry Christmas from The Hub to ME!

Hmmmm...what else? A special package from my favorite Aunt & Uncle in Virginia arrived a couple of days ago and it had bags in it. Bags.

But, look inside...isn't that great? It may not seem so wonderful to some of you, but it's like gold to we peeps in the south! Love. It.

And...I had the greatest thrifting score this week. It's a place I've never been in, but always pass on my way to the office. I stopped in just for grins and look what I got....

These all in excellent condition vintage ornaments!!! Love this red...

And this crown.....

And the small piece of tinsel in this clear one....

But, wait...I also got this boot, these glittered bells and this N-O-E-L candle holder set, with the "Made in Japan" stickers still stuck to the bottom! Don't you love it???

Price for all of this Christmas Goodness?? $4.76. No kidding.

And just one more prize.....this really cool old plastic light up Santa. He's about 4 feet tall and he was just sitting out in front of this little antique shop. Just $15.....

Hey..if any of you are into stamping or scrapbooking or old paper or whatever, you should visit Tim Holtz. He's doing a twelve days of Christmas stamping thing and he's got some gorgeous stuff going on over there. And, if you like to be inspired and get some great ideas for Christmas, you should visit Teresa at { My Minutia } and see about joining her online class.

Anywho...that's about it...you guys are so sweet....

Cassie,
That same shopping spree thing happened to me with a Visa card a few years ago in guess where? L.A. or more specific Glendale. Lovely computer parts from Tech Depot, who called to verify the shipment and when I told them "no way", they shipped it anyway and then got pissy when Visa wanted the money back. Go figure! Hey, at least I am on the mailing list now and I get re-pissed every time they send me something.

Great score on ornaments, here they would be in an antique store for $5. each. Wish I had saved some of my parents' stuff because they don't have a tree anymore and they threw "that old stuff" away.( I have four clip-on birds and 2 tiny stockings, that's it).

okay Cass, now you're sure you didn't find those great Hollywood finds in, I don't know...HOLLYWOOD!!! I hope they catch the thief that sold your debit card info! Probably got skimmed at a restaurant...Mac (WTHF) said they really need to build more prisons and put these jerks out of the way...my view is buy a big island, no power less they build it, no food less they grow it, no phones less they got the Wichita Lineman on their with 'em...why make it easy with 3 hots and a cot? Yeah, I'm a big believer in Capital Punishment, too...really. But then look how I earned my living, lol...had an inside look at the world and works of criminality! I hope you get every danged penny plus interest back...never let that card out of your sight again! hugs

I'm so loving those Christmas ornaments!!! I think I need to stop in at the GoodWill store to see what they've got laying around. You've inspired me! (Oh and hey - love the holly from the aunt and uncle, too. Having lived in the Florida panhandle for as long as we did, I can understand that there's just some things missing from that part of the world. You wouldn't believe how many ROCKS my friend Susan and I made. Hey, we HAD to. There weren't many rocks to be had around there naturally so we mixed up bag after bag after bag of cement and just made our own. lol).
And since I've already sent you a 90 page e-mail on my thoughts regarding your debit card, I'll skip over commenting on that again. ha

Merry Christmas!
Kari

Oh wow Cassie. That really sucks...at least if your card was going to have all that fun in LA, it could have invited YOU along too. It is only polite. I hope all is right soon...

Oooh...that sweet pass!! We used to have them and oh how I LOVED it!

LOVE the vintage ornies. They are so cool. My Mom's tree is full of them and she bristles when I call them vintage! But Ma, they ARE!!!

Hugs,
Sue
